The National Coalition of 100 Black Women Inc. was founded in the winter of 1970 in New York City. Twenty-four black women led by visionary Edna Beach began meeting in their home to assess the problems and opportunities left behind in the wake of the turbulent 1960’s.The vision of the organization is to see black women in girls live in a world where socio-economic inequality does not exist. The mission is to advocate on behalf women and girls to promote leadership development and gender equity in the areas of health, education and economic empowerment.

Greetings from our President

Greetings!

Thank you for taking the time to visit our website. We are honored and excited that you chose to learn more about our organization. Our mission is “To advocate on behalf of black women and girls to promote leadership development and gender equity in the areas of health, education and economic empowerment.”

As the President of the NCBW 100 Black Women, Inc. –Tampa Bay Area Chapter, an advocate and community servant, I come into the presidency with an excess of experience as a member for eleven years having served as 1st Vice President of Programs, 3rd Vice President of Membership, Public Relations Coordinator, Public Policy Chair along with serving on all programs and event committees. In addition to, serving as a current Board of Director on the National Board and Co-Chair of the Inaugural LEAD Academy class, a 15-month national leadership development program.

For thirty years the National Coalition of 100 Black Women Inc. – Tampa Bay Area Chapter has been supporting national priorities through programs that are designed to be implemented to be transformative, addressing current issues, concerns and the needs that impact the Black community.

The 2019-2021 leadership platform, “Vision is 20/20: clear, strategic and delivering change” The organizational two-year strategic plan will catapult the organization into changing the way it operates internally and externally in serving Black women and girls within our community.
