New members of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women should:

1. Demonstrate actual or potential leadership ability.
2. Demonstrate evidence of community involvement in key sectors of the community:
   a. Government Federal or State or Local agencies
   b. Large corporate entities (executive board)
   c. Small businesses (represented by business type)
   d. Lobby/special interest/political groups
   e. Health services
   f. Elementary, secondary and college administrative/faculty
   g. Appointed and elected commissions and board members
   h. Civic associations (e.g., NAACP, League of Women Voters)
   i. Community service organizations (e.g., United Way, YWCA)
3. Demonstrate available resources—time, constituencies, money, contacts, track record and expertise—for NCBW chapter programs.
4. Have a good reputation, with dependable, effective service to the community.
5. Must reside in the same metropolitan area as the Chapter (50 miles radius) – Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco Counties

New members shall be sponsored by an active member of the chapter for consideration and submitted to the Membership Committee.

• Must be a woman at least 25 years of age
• Must be a college graduate or possess significant career achievements
• Must attend one full membership information session.
• Must Submit completed application along with a nonrefundable application fee $50
• Must complete an interview.
• Must attend New Member Orientation.
